Villa Opal is an exceptionally well appointed property situated in the heart of the foothills behind the coast. It is the perfect base from which to explore the many beautiful medieval villages of the region whilst allowing easy access to the coast and the night life of Nice, Cannes and Monte Carlo.
The villa has extensive grounds of 8 acres and is accessed via a private road off the golf course access of Opio/Valbonne. Entrance to the villa is through imposing wrought-iron gates and a gravel driveway. The grounds are maintained by a resident gardener, and from various vantage points there are some spectacular views over the Gorge du Loup and the forested valley below.
• The property has been furnished and decorated throughout by an internationally renowned interior designer, and the salon measuring about 1000sq.ft. has a formal sitting area with an imposing cheminée, a formal dining area strategically centred to provide the best panoramic mountain views and an informal relaxing living area with the latest Satellite TV/video and HiFi entertainment centre. The salon has seven sets of arched double doors, providing plentiful light and sunshine. Dining is not restricted to the interior as there is also a Summer kitchen and barbecue, as well as a breakfast terrace. The kitchen is decorated in a pastel rainbow colour with luxury Provençal units and every conceivable appliance, as well as the finest crockery and glassware.
Sleeping arrangements as follows: • Ground floor Master bedroom with large en-suite bathroom, dressing area and king size sleigh style bed. Two further bedrooms at ground level have king size beds and twin singles. These share a family bathroom opposite. All bedrooms on the ground floor have access to terraces.
• On the first floor there is a further bedroom that can either have a Queen double or bunks for children. There is also a double day bed on the galleried landing which serves as a 5th bedroom and which is not visible from the salon. Both these upper floor bedrooms share the facilities of a further bathroom.
• With its own astroturf tennis court, table tennis, floodlit boules court, Badminton and volleyball equipment, as well as 4 mountain bikes, Villa Opal offers a variety of sporting activities or alternatvely the luxury of relaxing in sumptuous surroundings.
